Whether you can do this depends on the printer you have, the software you are using, and the type / version of the Operating System you are running.
IN GENERAL, this can be done on cards that meet the following requirements:
- The paper is within the printer media weight restrictions,
- The card is not embossed, shiny, gilded, or have shredded (uneven) edges,
- Your printer software and printer support the Media type and sizes necessary.

Hi Sandy.
HP Photo Creations offers two types of half-fold greeting cards: portrait (tall, with the hinge on the left side) and landscape (wide, with the hinge on the top; shown here). The software will guide you through the printing process. One trick I use when printing on special paper is to do a test print first on standard paper. To make sure which side is up, I'll write a note in pencil on the paper before printing.
If you want the hinge to be on the right side of your card, you can rotate the items on your layout 180° by dragging the rotation handle (the little lollipop control). The printing preview will show how your card will look.
HP Photo Creations is a free download for macOS and Windows at www.hp.com/go/hppc.
Hope this helps,
