Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the "How to enable scan".
First, install the printer drivers on your computer from Software and drivers page( download HP easy start under the driver tab)
Try following the steps below-
Open the HP Utility Folder and go to Scan to Computer
Try Scanning.

You can download HP Smart App to scan and print -Install and Use the HP Smart App (Mac)
