How to scan a 26-inch-long document on an Officejet pro-8710. "Entire scan area" does not seem to work with document feeder.

The printer is not the right tool for this type of job.

So... What?
Were it mine to do, I'd look for a professional print / scan service in my area.
Why?
Fighting with a 26 inch piece of paper to fit single "pages" of the document onto the scanner, shifting the paper, then adding the next "page" -- section -- of your paper is likely more trouble than the results would be worth.
What else?
If you don't care about the original,
IF the paper weight and type is supported by the printer,
Cut the document into sheets that will fit in the ADF and Scan the document.
Still tricky -- you still end up with lots of "pages" but at least the pages would scan.
