In general, you need:
- A printer that is supported with installed full driver printer software.
- A photo file in a printable format - for example, .jpg or .png
What?
A full driver makes is possible to install and use photo editing and print software that can accommodate a specialized / custom print size.
Note
HP Smart - Mobile -tends to follow the paper size when printing.
Check your mobile app store for an alternative print app that can print in custom / exact size.

Printer - Windows - Print
Windows Paint can print images at pretty much any size you want.
You do need to be able to calculate the percentage of 100% to get to the 2x2 inch size.
True - If the original photo is not square, and you cannot afford to crop part of the image, you can run into trouble with the Aspect Ratio.
==================================
Printer - Full Feature Software
HP Full Feature Software / Full Driver printer software - supports printing and scanning from the web, printing in in other software and programs (for example, Word), and provides access to the full range of Printing Preferences / Shortcuts. The full driver generally adds at one, possibly least one, possibly two shortcuts to the Desktop: Printer Assistant, HP Scan Assistant, and/or HP Scan.
NOTES:
HP Scan is not installed if the printer does not support Scan.
The Printer Assistant is not installed if the type of full driver software does not support it. If the printer model includes built-in Fax hardware, the software supports the setup and use of the Fax driver. No Sign-in required.
=======================================
After the Full Feature Software, full driver print driver is installed, you can use a variety of photo editing and print software programs to print your photos as you like them.
