So I am using HP Smart to network scan. I want to scan to Evernote directly - I recently lost my house in the Colorado Marshall Wildfire and while I didn't lose any data, my wife lost a LOT of paper files and I lost some paper stuff as well that I'd just as soon have. So I want to scan everything to evernote notebooks in a filing stack of notebooks.
So I have tried the shortcut - in HP smart, gave it access to my Evernote account - but I run the shortcut and nothing happens and then finally, I think under activity, it says, there was an error. No error number, nothing of any use in the message other than there was an error. Not very helpful. Chatted with an HP support person and he seemed to point me to a pay HP Smart Friends and family or something? I mean, I just got the printer, not sure why I should be paying for support on something that seems to be part of HP software and should really just work... or at least give me some sort of meaningful message.
I have two 3 windows 10 computers and 2 macs including a brand new M1 mini running Monterey and an older Air running Big Sur IIRC and they all do the exact same thing. I would sure appreciate any advice if anyone has this working. Oh yeah, I also heard that the new evernote's API is not complete, so I also did the side by side legacy evernote - still nothing, plus I get the feeling this is not actually talking to evernote on my computer, but talking to evernote servers in the cloud as I had to give it access to my evernote account. thanks
