Want to scan without going through HP app / HP cloud.  How do I do this?

Sorted it.  Went to HP Support, typed in my printer, list of drivers came up, ignored recommended one (HP App), scrolled down to software utilities, clicked on that and selected full driver and downloaded.  Once downloaded, put "scan" in search box and "HP Scan" came up.  Right clicked to add it to takbar.  Job done.
