Short Answer

The printer does not include support for automatic 2-sided scan.

Duplex ADF ScanningNo

It follows that if you are attempting to scan in 2-sided hard copy faxes using the ADF (Automatic Document Feeder), that the 2-sided feature is not supported during the fax operation.

Details  / Examples

Fax using the PC as the source of the file to be faxed is supported.

PC Interface SupportedYes, Windows fax driver, HP PC Send Fax Driver 2.0

That just means that if (after) you scan and save the front and back pages of the fax document, the document can then be faxed to the recipients using (for example) Windows Fax and Scan or perhaps the Fax driver installed as part of the full driver printer software.
