Hi @Danny3650,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing an error issue with your HP DeskJet 4635 printer. You can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Restart the Printer:

  • If simply turning the printer off and on hasn't worked, try unplugging the printer while it is on. Wait for 60 seconds and then plug it back in. This can help reset any internal errors.

Check for Paper Jams:

  • Turn the printer off and disconnect the power cord.
  • Open the cartridge access door and check for any jammed paper pieces. Gently remove any paper found.
  • Ensure there are no small fragments of paper remaining in the printer.

Manually Move the Cartridge:

  • With the printer still turned off, gently push the cartridge to the left or right to free it if it is stuck.
  • Ensure no obstructions are blocking the way.

Ensure Proper Cartridge Installation:

  • Make sure the cartridges are properly installed in their respective slots.
  • Remove and reinstall the cartridges to ensure they are firmly seated.

Check Carriage Path:

  • Look for any foreign objects or debris in the carriage path and remove them.

Clean the Carriage Path:

  • Use a lint-free cloth to gently clean the area around the carriage and remove any buildup that could impede its movement.

Reconnect the Printer:

  • Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer and plug it back into the wall outlet.
  • Turn the printer on and check if the error persists.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
