Yikes. I had scanned multiple documents using easy scan, successfully. I had not sent the batch to a file yet and the computer shut down. When I re-opened easy scan, the documents were gone.  Is there a way to retrieve them?

I afraid not, you cannot restore any scan which was not saved to a file yet and any lost document must be re-scanned in such condition.
