I'm tring to 'scan to document' multiple pages  - problem is every time I do this the 1st page comes out blank and the actual document only starts on page 2 - what am I doing wrong please?  I'm sanning on HP photosmart  6510

Hi reverendmother-

 

Out of curiosity, what happens if you scan just 1 page?   Is that blank?    Are you scanning from the flatbed or feeder?   What paper size are you scanning?

Hi

I'm using a flatbed scanner and I try to scan just one page and it too came out blank - this only happens when I scan document to file - not photograph to file

Hi Rm,

 

Ok, when you do the scan, I assume you see the page correctly in the preview prior to saving it, correct?    It's only when you save the page that it comes out blank?

 

If you change the file type from PDF to something else for Document To File, does it work?

 

Again, assuming this is PDF... what PDF viewer are you using?   Have you tried opening the PDF on another computer to see if it looks OK there?    It could be that your PDF viewer (most commonly Adobe) is corrupted and that you might need to uninstall the PDF viewer and reinstall the latest version.

HP Printer Assistant option does not even exsist on mine. I have software, reloaded w/enable scan to computer ...still not there. How do you do Danielle fix below

 

"I figured out a way around it by going under wireless settings and completely reconnecting my computer to the printer by entering the address again"
