@venusian, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Power Cycle the Printer

Turn off the printer by pressing the power button (if it allows you to).

Unplug the printer from the power source.

Wait for about 1-2 minutes to let it completely reset.

Plug the printer back in and try turning it on.

Check for Paper Jams

Sometimes, the flashing power button indicates a paper jam.

Open the printer cover and carefully check for any paper jams.

If you find a jam, gently remove the paper.

Check Ink Cartridges

If the ink cartridges are improperly installed or there's an issue with them, it could cause the power button to flash.

Open the ink cartridge access door.

Make sure the cartridges are correctly seated and not blocked.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
