Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

i have an hp laser jet pro MFP M126nw and i am unable to use scanner from my android device ie samsung m30s working on android 10.I have already installed hp smart app as well as service plugins but the scan button in hp smart app seems to do nothing.Scanner worked for my ios mobile device but not in android device.Please help

Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart App and try again.

No i don't get any error message whenever i click scan it shows scanning for a moment and nothing happens

Did you use the HP Smart app on the iOS device to scan?

Try making a standalone copy and check if that works. By this, we can conclude if this is a hardware or a driver issue.

 

Restart the wireless router, the printer, and the Android phone.

Check for any software updates on the Android device.

 

Try printing and scanning from the HP Smart app.

For more info on how to scan from your Android phone, refer to this document.

All the things have been tried - nothing works. I bought the printer couple of days ago and this seems to be an issues which is not resolved by HP - looking at the issues (same one) I happened to explore over net.
