Hi @holroyds

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
If your HP Envy 6530e All-in-One Printer's scanner isn't working, here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:
1. Check Connections
- Ensure the printer is properly connected to your computer or network.
- If using a USB connection, verify that the cable is securely plugged in and not damaged.
- For wireless connections, confirm that the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
2. Restart Devices
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Restart your computer.
- Plug the printer back in and turn it on.
3. Update Printer Drivers
- Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
- Install the drivers and restart your computer.
4. Use the HP Smart App
- Download the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Use the app to initiate a scan and check if the issue persists.
5. Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor tool.
- This tool can diagnose and fix common scanning issues.
6. Check Scanner Glass
- Open the scanner lid and clean the glass with a lint-free cloth and a small amount of glass cleaner.
- Ensure there are no smudges, dust, or debris on the glass.
7. Perform a Factory Reset
- On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Printer Maintenance > Restore Factory Defaults.
- Reconfigure the printer settings after the reset.
