I understand you want to create a shortcut so you can quickly scan with your HP Envy 6555. Let’s go through a few steps to set this up.

Install the HP Smart App (Required)

Make sure HP Smart is installed and signed in.

This app manages scanning shortcuts for your printer.

Open HP Smart and Go to “Shortcuts”

Launch the HP Smart app on your computer.

Select Shortcuts from the home screen.

Create a New Shortcut

Click Create Shortcut (or the “+” icon).

Choose what you want the shortcut to do—scan to email, folder, cloud, etc.

Configure the Scan Settings

Select your HP Envy 6555 as the device.

Choose color, resolution, file type (PDF/JPG), and destination.

Save your settings.

Pin the Shortcut for Faster Access

After creating the shortcut, click Pin to Start or Add to Home inside the HP Smart app.

This lets you run the scan in one click next time.

Optional: Create a Desktop Shortcut

Open HP Smart → Right-click your new shortcut → Select Create Desktop Shortcut (if available).

This allows you to start scanning directly from your desktop.
