How to Set Up the Scanner on HP Envy Inspire 7900e

Step 1: Install the HP App

This app is your all-in-one tool for scanning, printing, and troubleshooting.


Step 2: Start a Scan

  • Open HP App.
  • Click on Scan.
  • Choose Scan from Printer or Scan from Computer.
  • Adjust settings like resolution, color, and file type.
  • Click Scan, then Save or Share the file.


Step 3: Use the Printer’s Control Panel (Optional)

You can also scan directly from the printer:

  • Tap the Scan icon on the printer’s touchscreen.
  • Choose Scan to Computer or Scan to Email/USB.
  • Follow the prompts to complete the scan.
