We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about HP Solution Center not working : Adobe Flash Player Error and Unable to Scan.

Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

New HP ENVY 7640 will not feed documents for scanning.  It does feed documents while in copy mode but not when trying to scan multiple pages.

Thanks for using the HP Forums.

 

Have you installed the FULL feature software?

 

If not,please download and install the FULL feature software:

 

http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-envy-7640-e-all-in-one-printer-series/6617267/mod...

 

Once you have done that, start the Scan software (through HP Printer Assistant) and ensure that the source is "Use document feeder if loaded".  (Example shown)
