My friends hp 8600 officejet won't let her fax. it seem to jam when pulling in the first page. I was hoping if someone knew how to open the cover if possible to see what is making it jam. An ideas appreciated. I did a search but the only cover printing paper jams, not faxing, (outgoing) jams TIA

Welcome back to the HP Forums.
I hope you're well @cyberwasp
I read about the paper jamming when trying to send a fax on the Officejet 8600. Please see the link below and try the steps in the links. The steps for a paper jam would be the same for faxing or printing. If the jams continue, the last suggestion I would have would be to call phone support to see about a replacement printer.
