I have a printer HP 9013. I am trying to send a scan page to my email. I am getting a response - "the printer is unable to connect to the remote destination. Check your configurations and try again"

Most common cause of failure to connect to a mail server is an invalid gateway address or bad/wrong DNS settings. Both of these settings are set through the EWS of the printer by entering the IP address of the printer into a address bar of a browser. I suggest for the primary dns you use 8.8.8.8 as this is the google provided DNS and is usually very reliable.
