printer no power

The printer will not turn on, I unplugged it then removed the 3 screws holding the panel on top under the scanner. When I connect the power cord, a light comes on inside behind the sd/USB port thing that slides open for access  I apologize for my lack of technical terms and or lingo. I just need to get this fixed or go full on office space.Top right corner, light turns on a second then off
