On several occasions I have tried to scan a letter and have received an error message "the scanner Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) cover is open. Check that the ADF cover is completely closed.

 

The letter is jammed 3/4 of the way through the feeder and the cover, of course is complely closed. If I then press to scan again the letter is fed through the feeder but has not been scanned!!!!!!!!! 

 

It is of course impossible to copy two sides of a document manually????

Thanks for the info on the SERVICES.  However, that did NOT help my problem. 

 

My Fix:  on the wireless menu of the printer, I set "Wireles Direct" to "on", and turned "Security" off.  Then it started scanning.  I don't want to go back & see if I can re-reate the error msg, cuz it took me so long to get it working ... not willing to take ANY chances!!!
