Hi! @SR36, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!
I understand you would like to know if the printer can support remote scanning.
Don't worry I'd like to help you out.
Did you make any changes to your printer?
Excellent description and a great diagnosis done. It is greatly appreciated.
I have checked the specifications of your printer and your printer does not support scan to network.
If the printer supported scan to network folder, you could have done the remote scanning.
However, you can still scan remotely using scan to email option.
1. In Destinations, choose E-mail.
2. A blank e-mail opens with the scanned document as an attachment.
3. Enter an e-mail recipient, add text, or other attachments, then click Send.
Refer the printer user guide to know more information about scan to email from your printer.Click Here
Note: Refer page 94 for more information.
