Hello Community;
I have an HP desktop PC with OS of Windows 10 ( 64 bit). I have an HP Officejet Pro 8025 printer/scanner.
This is my problem, When I scan a document I would like to save this document as a Microsoft Word File for future editing and printing for my records After scanning the document the only choices to save I have are save as a PDF or jpg files NOT as a Word document, I am NOT able to open the PDF file even with the " OPEN WITH " choice that is available.
How am I going to be able to scan a document with my HP Printer/Scanner and save it to my desktop as a word document for future use. Also does my scanner have any more CHOICES to save a scanned document other than PDF or jpeg format???? I am at a loss I can't find any others.
Can anyone HELPP with my problem ??????
Thanks
BEEP01

Welcome to the HP Community.
Software to scan and save as Word is not included in the Full Feature Software (full driver printer software) .
Scan to Word is not included in the HP Smart - Windows - application.
HP Smart - Mobile - at least the iOS version for iPad, includes scan to Word / Pages documents.
Depending on your printer model, the Full Feature Software / full driver printer software provides scan options for PDF / Images / possibly OCR
HP Smart - Windows - provides scan options for PDF and Images / Photos
