Hey. I have an HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910. The centre used to look like what another poster shared. However, mine looks like this now (see below) and does not allow me to scan multiple pages into one document. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium.
I liked the previous solution centre so much better! Please help!

I had the same problem with my HP Officejet Pro 8600. My solution was to select the "email as pdf" shortcut, go to "advanced settings" and, under the "File" tab, uncheck "create a separate file for each scanned page." Then I emailed it to myself, downloaded the pdf file and saved it to my hard drive. I'm not sure that I needed to go the "advanced settings" route, but at least the end result was that I can scan multiple pages into one pdf document.:manhappy:

Hello Eagleeye57,
I see you are trying to fax a multipage document using the Automatic Document Feeder (ADF). Yes, please face the documents print-side up (face up). If you are faxing the document you would select your Fax option on the front panel of your HP Printer. Take a look here on how to Send a Fax from the Scanner Glass or the Automatic Document Feeder.
As for the scan to computer and email options, you can set that up using your HP Printer Assistant (printer icon on desktop), although they do not have anything to do with the fax portion.
Now you do have the ability to use the HP Digital Fax Setup Wizard also located in the HP Printer Assistant, this would allow you to save incoming black and white faxes to a designated folder, or forward them as an e-mail attachment to a designated e-mail address. Please take a look at Setting Up HP Digital Fax to Save Received Faxes to your Computer.
If you have anymore question please feel free to let me know, I would be happy to help!
Thank you,

I have HP 8500 3 in 1 and cannot figure out how to get multiple page documents scanned into a single pdf file.
The document feeder NEVER worksmfor this - it does work for a regular copying of multiple pages.
Please advise.

Open application folder Hewlet-Packard; click HP scan .app
Place item to be scanned on flat bed. In upper right click on scan button.
A pop-should appear with a few choices, likely 3. Check each choce, and various options will show up. Chose ones you like including 2 sided if it 2 sided. This may not show if you do not have a 2 sided printer.
Then you should scan (continue). After scan it should ask if you have more. Answer yes, and follow instructions, turn or new page. Originally you should have chosen or set the choice to connect all scans into same pdf file. Perhaps you may have to go to setting in HP utility. Maybe you should add/buy multiple feeder.
Gee wiz, an very old guy (80 plus) helping frustrated younger person. I'm going back to sleep now. Hope I helped.
