I'd like to help!
- Search Windows for your printer model name, and click the printer name in the list of results. HP Printer Assistant opens.
- Click Scanner Actions, and then click Manage Scan to Computer.
- Click Enable to activate the scan to computer option.

No still get failure ---- missing files
HP Printer Assistant -
C:\ProgramData\HP\HP OfficeJet8700\HPUDC\CN6BFHW1CS:USB\UDC_Install.json
C:\ProgramData\HP\HP OfficeJet8700\HPUDC\CN6BFHW1CS:USB\UDC_device_2.json
New install from HP Web site fails to resolve ----
Basic_Webpack_x64-39.7.2010-OJ8700_Basicx64_Webpack.exe
Full_Webpack-39.7.2010_1-OJ8700_Full_Webpack.exe
