Hi @RichW12

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It looks like your HP Envy 5530 is experiencing an issue where the "Scan to Computer" feature gets disabled unexpectedly on Mac OS Sequoia 15.4.1. Here are some steps to resolve it:

Enable Scan to Computer in HP Utility

  • Open HP Utility on your Mac.
  • Select your printer and go to Scan Settings.
  • Ensure Scan to Computer is enabled.

Restart the Printer and Mac

  • Power off your printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
  • Restart your Mac and reconnect the printer.

Check HP Smart or HP Easy Scan App

  • Open HP Smart or HP Easy Scan and try scanning from there.
  • If the app doesn’t recognize the printer, reinstall it from the Mac App Store.

Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Go to System SettingsPrinters & Scanners and remove your printer.
  • Download the latest drivers from HP’s support page and reinstall them.

Reset Printing System

  • Open System SettingsPrinters & Scanners.
  • Right-click in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
  • Re-add your printer and test scanning again.
