Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Welcome to the HP Forums!
I would like to take a moment and thank you for using this forum, it is a great place to find answers.

 

To enable scan to computer, you need to install full feature printer driver on your computer. 

To download the printer driver, use:

https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-officejet-6960-all-in-one-printer-series/9514854

 

After installing the printer driver,

Search Windows for HP, and then select your printer.

HP Printer Assistant opens.

Select Manage scan to computer and enable Scan to Computer.
