I have an HP Envy 5540 and am having trouble with scanning to email. I go to he "scan for email to XXXX" When I highlight that, it confirms "scan for email to XXXX". Then I hit OK and it says it is connecting. But, then it gives me a new message that says "The scan could not be completed. Make sure that the scanning software has been installed and configured on your computer and then try again." First, I am not a computer geek so not certain if that was done at install and how to check it. Then, if that is OK, I am not certain what to do next. I will also admit that I am not sure which email address I used at the time of install. Help would be appreciated.

Please download and install the full software from here: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-envy-5540-all-in-one-printer-series/54...
Once done try setting up scan to email and try again.
