Hello. Comcast advised me to change my password to my Comcast email which I did. Now I can't scan to email from the 8710 printer. I can't find where to go to update this. I have found info that seems like it might help, but then what is described isn't what I see on the computer screen. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

I'm not sure what you are looking at, of course -- I can sometimes read the minds of spouse or my cats -- not so much anyone else. 🤔
That said, you perhaps just need to update the password in your EWS Profile for Scan to Email.
Unless Comcast also requires you to use an App Password with Scan to Email, updating the password to your email account should take care of it.
What?
Comcast Email (your email provider) might require 2-Step Verification and an App Password to be used with third party software that accesses your Comcast email.
Scan to Email and the Profile you set up to use Scan to Email - can qualify as a "third party software" that wants to access your email provider's security. Some (many) email providers don't like programs that try to barge into the email's security -- extra precautions are required to keep programs from harming your account or the security of the email provider.
How will you know?
If you change the password in the Profile, test, and the change or the password does not work, you might see an error message similar to "Username or password incorrect", "Cannot contact server". In general, messages of this type indicate the need to enable 2-Step verification and create an App Password in your Email security.
If required,
The App Password is used in place the the regular password you use with your email login credentials.
Scan to Email Profiles are created -- and managed -- as part of the printer's Digital Send setup.
Open EWS --
Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar
Tab Scan > Scan to Email > Settings / Scan to Email Setup

Scan to Email – Two-Step Verification and Application Password
Email Account Security
"Scan to Email", “Scan to Network”, "HP Scan > Email" and "Share" are subject to your Email Account provider's security that governs how your email account interacts with "third party software / apps".
For example, Google (G-Mail) and other email providers, including (and not limited to) Apple, Microsoft, and Yahoo, might require that you enable 2-Step Verification AND create and use an App Password to interact with the printer software, printer applications, or any program that requires that software to access your email account.
Where the email provider's security requires it, the App Password is used in place of your normal email / account password in "third party" apps and software.
