Installation of scanning to network folder doesn't work. I know the path name and everything from another topic here. But unfortunately no solution works for me.

And I'd like to know if I can setup to iCloud, instead of a folder on my laptop. How can I do that?

Hope someone gives me the solution I need. Thank you!!!!

The issue of scanning to a network folder should be resolved with the latest firmare that just released.

You can download that here.

Thanks! But the update didn't do the trick. 😞

What exact error do you get while running the test?

What is the exact path used while setting the feature?

From System Preferences > Sharing > Files Sharing, is the folder shown as shared with full read and write permissions for the user?

Click the top Options button - can you see Windows Sharing (SMB) enabled with the used user checked below for SMB?

Then there must be another issue.  I just verified this fix again here and have sent to same fix to numerous other forum members.

What is the exact error you get?  Is the test from the Embedded Web Server successful when you are setting up the folder path?

The error says the external server couldn't be found (but then in dutch haha).

The folder is shared with eveybody to read and write.

I used \\MacBookPro.local\Macintosh HD\ScanToFolder

And I used \\MacBookPro.local\Macintosh HD\Users\Printer\ScanToFolder

They both seemed succesfull, till I did the test.

Windows Sharing (SMB) is enabled with no users.

My username is marked as ON within the Windows File Sharing area box.

I also tried \\[smb-number]\Macintosh HD\ScanToFolder

With this path I got the error taht the test didn't work and I should try again.

And beside this folder, can I scan to iCloud? That would be the ultimum!

HP Recommended

You do not nee dto put the full path to the folder.  The shared path is only to the highest level of shared folder.

For example if you shared out //MacBookPro.local/Macintosh HD/ScanToFolder

The actual SMB share would be \\MacBookPro.local\ScanToFolder

The space in Macintosh can actually mess up the path in an SMB share.

For example my share is \\badgerpro.auth.hpicorp.net\Scans when I am on the HP network.

If \\MacBookPro.local still doe snot work you can try the IP address is that spot instead and see if it works.

Unfortunately, same results...

When I use MacBookPro, the external server couldn't be found. And with the SMB-number (IP) the test failed.

Anybody???

Ok, still nothing worked.

But my main question is:

Can I scan to iCloud, instead of a folder on my laptop? And if possible, how can I do that?
