E73130 MFP
Microsoft Windows Server 2016

Scan to sharepoint from E73130 MFP, verification to sharepoint folder is failing, yet the quick set summary is pulling meta data back with the correct path and groups/users for the folder.  The Baltimore cert has been re uploaded to print server and mfp, the user id is the same as the "Full access" user on the folder and the laptop I used to test the connection and upload a file.

Hello,

Troubleshooting Scan to SharePoint Issues on HP E73130 MFP

When experiencing verification failure while attempting to scan to a SharePoint folder with an HP E73130 MFP, yet being able to pull metadata correctly, consider the following steps to diagnose and fix the issue:

  1. Check SharePoint Permissions:

    • Ensure that the user account configured on the MFP has full control or appropriate write permissions on the SharePoint folder. Double-check the permission settings directly within SharePoint to confirm.
  2. Certificate Configuration:

    • Verify that the correct Baltimore root certificate has been uploaded and is valid. Ensure that both the print server and the MFP recognize the certificate as trusted.
    • You may attempt to delete and re-upload the certificate to rule out any corruption during the previous upload process.
  3. Network and User Configuration:

    • Ensure the MFP is correctly configured with the network settings, such as DNS and gateway, to communicate with the SharePoint server.
    • Check that the user ID being used is indeed recognized by the SharePoint server. Log in manually to the SharePoint site with these credentials to confirm.
  4. Validate Path and User Account:

    • Re-validate that the path used in the Quick Set on the MFP matches exactly with the SharePoint path. Any discrepancies can cause verification failures.
    • Confirm the user account is not locked out or expired and can log in directly to the SharePoint site to perform uploads.
  5. Update Firmware and Drivers:

    • Ensure that your MFP's firmware is up to date. Visit the HP Support site to check for and apply firmware updates that may include fixes for connectivity or SharePoint-specific issues.
  6. Check Error Logs:

    • Look into the event logs on both the MFP and Windows Server to identify any error codes or messages that may give further insights into why the verification fails.
  7. Review SharePoint Settings:

    • Ensure that SharePoint accepts authentication types configured in the MFP (e.g., NTLM, Kerberos). The authentication method supported by the SharePoint site should match that on the MFP.
  8. Firewall and Network Security:

    • Check for any firewall or security settings that might block communication between the MFP and SharePoint.
  9. Test with Another User:

    • Attempt to configure scan settings with a different test user account to determine if the issue is specific to the user credentials being used.
  10. Consult HP Support:

    • If the problem persists, consider reaching out to HP Support for further assistance. They can provide specialized insight and support for specific configurations involving SharePoint integrations.

Following these steps can help address various configurations and settings that may contribute to the issue you're experiencing with scanning to SharePoint using the HP E73130 MFP.
