Note: From May 1, 2024, the HP Scan and Capture app will no longer be available (retired) in the Microsoft Store and HP will not release any further app updates. Alternatively, you can download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store. For more information on how to set up your printer using the HP Smart app, go to HP printer setup (HP Smart app).

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
First download only this complete package: "HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw Printer Full Software Solution "
- Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
- Please note: WLAN has to be deactivated!
- Restart the PC
- Close all programs
- Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on Full_Webpack-44.9.2760-LJM148M149_UWWL_4-1_Full_Webpack.exe (247.9 MB) EXE.
- When the software asks for the connection type, then select USB
- The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
- Restart the PC again
- Now the installation is complete.
- now without internet the scanner should work.
Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
