for HP laser jet pro MFP M148fds, when have problem with internet connection how can scanning be done using USB cable, without using HP smart

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

 

First download only this complete package: "HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148fdw Printer Full Software Solution "

 

  1. Disconnect printer/scanner from computer- Disable WLAN, WiFi and/or remove the USB or LAN cable.- Do not switch off the printer >> unplug the power cord from the socket!
  2. Restart the PC
  3. Close all programs
  4. Reconnect the printer to the power supply and switch it on (if this does not happen automatically)
  5. Please note: WLAN has to be deactivated!
  6. Restart the PC
  7. Close all programs
  8. Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo > in folder Downloads double-click on Full_Webpack-44.9.2760-LJM148M149_UWWL_4-1_Full_Webpack.exe (247.9 MB) EXE.
  9. When the software asks for the connection type, then select USB
  10. The installation was completed successfully, now you must ...
  11. Restart the PC again
  12. Now the installation is complete.
  13. now without internet the scanner should work.

Document error messages accurately, even better is to take a screenshot of it and upload here.
