Hi @Envy60101

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

The "Scanner is busy" error on your HP ENVY 6010 printer with macOS Big Sur could be due to software conflicts or outdated drivers.

Here are some steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer and Mac, then restart both.
  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your Mac.

Reset the Printing System:

  • On your Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click (or Control-click) in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
  • Re-add your printer after the reset.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model compatible with macOS Big Sur.

Check for Firmware Updates:

  • Use the HP Smart app or the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS) to check for and install firmware updates.

Use Webscan:

  • Access the printer's EWS by entering its IP address in a web browser.
  • Navigate to the "Webscan" feature to scan documents directly from the web interface.

Check for Software Conflicts:

  • Ensure no other scanning software is running simultaneously, as this can cause the "Scanner is busy" error.

If this solution hits the spot, please come back and click "Accepted Solution" to help others find the answer. And if you'd like to say thanks, select "Yes" on the bottom left of the public post, as that would make our day!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
