My scanner is not working for this printer. Worked yesterday morning, and had quit working by afternoon. It says it is either unable to find (saying that it is not connected) or that it is already in use. I have unplugged and reset computer and printer. Disconnected printer from computer and reconnected. Checked for all updates and applied any that was available. Ran all diagnostic scans I could find and all said there was no issue. Printer works fine, just unable to scan any documents.

Welcome to the HP Support Community!
In most cases, this will help:
- shut down printer via on/off switch
- switch off the router
- shut down the computer
- wait about 60 sec.
- switch on the router, wait until the router has completely initialized itself again
- Switch on the printer, wait until the printer has finished its initialization
- switch on computer, log in (with admin rights) and wait about 10 sec.
... and now everything's working again?
