Hi @vagesh,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If you're unable to scan documents using the HP Smart app, there are several potential issues and corresponding solutions to consider. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve scanning issues with your HP 8030 printer on Windows 11:
Step 1: Check the Connection
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection status.
- If you're using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
- Try using a different USB port on your computer.
Step 2: Restart Devices
Restart both your printer and computer to clear any temporary issues.
Step 3: Update HP Smart App and Printer Drivers
- Open the Microsoft Store on your computer.
- Search for "HP Smart" and check for updates. Install any available updates.
- Go to the HP Support website.
- Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers for Windows 11.
- Install the drivers and follow the on-screen instructions.
Step 4: Check Windows Scan Settings
- Press Windows + I to open Settings.
- Go to "Privacy & security" > "Camera".
- Ensure that "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
- Try using the Windows built-in "Windows Scan" app.
- Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Windows Scan", install it, and try scanning.
Step 5: Run HP Print and Scan Doctor
- Visit the HP Print and Scan Doctor page.
- Download and install the tool.
- Open HP Print and Scan Doctor.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix scanning issues
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
