Hi @vagesh,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're unable to scan documents using the HP Smart app, there are several potential issues and corresponding solutions to consider. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve scanning issues with your HP 8030 printer on Windows 11:

Step 1: Check the Connection

  • Make sure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify the connection status.
  • If you're using a USB connection, ensure the cable is securely connected to both the printer and the computer.
  • Try using a different USB port on your computer.

Step 2: Restart Devices

Restart both your printer and computer to clear any temporary issues.

Step 3: Update HP Smart App and Printer Drivers

  • Open the Microsoft Store on your computer.
  • Search for "HP Smart" and check for updates. Install any available updates.
  • Go to the HP Support website.
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest drivers for Windows 11.
  • Install the drivers and follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 4: Check Windows Scan Settings

  • Press Windows + I to open Settings.
  • Go to "Privacy & security" > "Camera".
  • Ensure that "Allow apps to access your camera" is turned on.
  • Try using the Windows built-in "Windows Scan" app.
  • Open the Microsoft Store, search for "Windows Scan", install it, and try scanning.

Step 5: Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  • Visit the HP Print and Scan Doctor page.
  • Download and install the tool.
  • Open HP Print and Scan Doctor.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to diagnose and fix scanning issues

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
