how to scan 8.5 x 14 inch docs on hp 476dw all in one printer

I don't see any setting for this

What program are you using to scan? The ADF supports legal size paper and it will either autodetect or there will be an original size setting. All depends on the program you are using to scan.

Program?  Not sure what you mean?  Are there other scan programs I can use with this printer?

I have an hp 476dw all in one. The scan function is whatever comes with the printer.

The adf scans the legal doc but only letter size portion shows up on the pdf on my dell laptop.

The whole page shows size reduced in jpeg but making a file for every page is not realistic. These docs are all 24+ pages..
