when trying to scan multiple pages using the document feeder on my HP office pro jet 7740, i keep getting an error message. only started doing this the last week or so. i can scan and send single pages no problem but not multiple pages.  also i can send multiple pages to scan and email using my mobile app but just not through my imac which ois on the monteray operating system. any suggestions how to fix?

 

i have tried uninstalling and the re-installing the HP smart app, done update on the imac, switched both on and off etc but nothing is working.

@brashy, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

To assist you better, what is the error you get?

Are you using the document feeder? Does it feed the paper?

Make sure the HP Smart app is up to date. You may check for updates in App Store. 

 

Update the printer firmware

Click here to download and install the latest printer firmware from your Mac.

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

 

Also, check for any software updates on Mac

Click the Apple icon > About This Mac > Software Update and install any available update.

 

Use the HP Easy Scan app to scan from your mac and check if that helps.

You may download this app from the App Store.

I have Monterey 12.2.1 and I can not locate a driver, this same thing is happening to me.  Please help with a current driver to fix this problem/. Thank you!
