Hi @Baldibee,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To scan to your PC from the HP DeskJet 2800e, you can follow these steps.
Prepare Your Scanner: Ensure that your HP DeskJet 2800e is powered on and connected to your computer via USB or over your Wi-Fi network.
Install HP Smart App (Optional): If you haven't already, you might want to download and install the HP Smart app on your computer. This app provides a convenient way to manage your printer, including scanning.
Place Document: Put the document or photo you want to scan face-down on the scanner glass or face-up in the document feeder (if available).
Access Scanning Software: Depending on your operating system, there are different ways to access the scanning software:
- For Windows: You can use the built-in Windows Fax and Scan utility or HP Smart app if installed.
- For Mac: You can use the built-in Image Capture application or HP Smart app if installed.
Select Scan Settings: In the scanning software, you should see options to adjust settings such as scan resolution, color mode, file type, and destination folder. Choose your desired settings according to your preferences.
Initiate Scan: After adjusting settings, initiate the scan process. You may need to click on a "Scan" or "Start Scan" button within the scanning software.
Save Scan: Once the scan is complete, you'll usually be prompted to save the scanned document or photo. Choose the destination folder and file name, then click "Save" or "OK".
Review Scan (Optional): You may want to review the scanned document or photo to ensure it captured correctly. Some scanning software allows you to preview the scan before saving it.
Repeat or Finish: If you have more documents to scan, repeat the process. Otherwise, you can close the scanning software.
These steps should help you scan documents or photos from your HP DeskJet 2800e to your PC.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
