scanning not accurate

I am scanning a document to pdf and some pages are fine but many are not useful.  Is there an upgraded software that I can use/purchase to improve the results?

"Not accurate" in terms of the content not being legible?

OR

Something else that results in the scanned content being "not useful".

In general, HP does not sell auxiliary scan software.

There are certainly companies out there that claim to produce an excellent and usable scan result.

Operating System / version impacts which tools are available --

Tools differ by type -- and available tools differ by device.

That just means the applications and software available in Windows are not the exact same apps used in Mobile devices.

For example,

HP Smart -  Windows and Mobile - provides a ability to scan and translate the content into standard PDF format.

HP Scan - Windows - supports scanning content to PDF and Photos / Images.

If you want to scan content into a Editable Text format, you need an application that can do that.

If "not accurate" means something other than described, perhaps provide more detail and skip the rest of this message.

HP offers a solution for your printer model.

This printer is eligible for the optional HP+ Service contract.

For this printer:

Scan to Word / .docx and / or Editable PDF formatted files is available if / after you accept the HP+ service contract for your printer and create / use the appropriate HP Smart Shortcut to save the scanned content to a supported Cloud Storage destination.

The HP+ contract itself is free and includes both benefits AND responsibilities for both HP and you (the customer).

Requirements for HP+ printers

This topic describes the requirements for HP+ printers.

Keep the printer connected to the Internet

HP+ printers are cloud-connected devices that must remain connected to the Internet in order to function. The
Internet connection enables the printer to deliver HP+ specific app features and firmware updates.

During setup, you must connect the printer to the Internet using a supported network connection. After setup, you can print using a USB cable connection, if desired, but the printer must still be connected to the Internet.

Use Original HP cartridges

Original HP cartridges are cartridges manufactured and sold by HP in official HP packaging. If non-Original HP
supplies or refilled cartridges are installed, HP+ printers will not operate as expected.
