Hi @Chandrabhan255

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query.

I understand that your A4 documents are being cropped when you scan them. To help determine whether this is caused by the scan settings or the scanner itself, could you please let me know which HP printer model you are using and whether you are scanning from the HP Smart app, HP Scan, or directly from the printer's control panel?

Meanwhile I would request you to please follow the steps

Reset the printer

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cable from the printer and wall outlet.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cable and turn the printer on.
  • Try scanning again.

Clean the scanner glass

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Use a soft, lint-free cloth slightly dampened with glass cleaner or water.
  • Clean the main scanner glass and the white backing area under the lid.
  • Allow it to dry before scanning again.

Install HP APP, add the printer and try scanning.

Also, please check that the paper size is set to A4 and the scan area is set to "Entire Scan Area" or "Full Page" (if available), then try scanning again and let me know if the issue persists.

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
