HP ENVY 4500 e-All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi,
For the moment I have a problem with scanning.

When I click on the HP Smart icon, the blue HP Smart window opens and for the rest nothing happens anymore.

I already tried to solve the problem with Print and Scan doctor but that couldn't solve the problem.

I tried also several other ways but  now the only thing that rests is to search for help by telephone.

However this costs € 25,00 ! So my question is, is there no other way than this help ( for the cost of 1/3 of a new printer !!) ?

( my printer itself has no defect because with wireless printing I have no problem at all)

Hello Bernard42,

In the mean time I have seen that scanning with HP Smart is still working, but very slowly and after every window that is opened, there appears a message ' do you allow this program to ....changes on your computer."

This seems to be so since I use Windows Defender.

So I think that I will have to search for a solution in that direction.
