Product: HP ENVY 5055 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 10.14 Mojave

on the envy 5055, there is an option to scan to computer.  My computer name does not appear. how do i add my computer to the printer so I can send scans to my computer directly from the printer without having use the HP Smart app on my computer.

The user in this HP Community thread  says the solution is to use the HP Utility for MacOS.

This app / utility was  -- at least at one time -- available at HP.

 

I found a download source for HP Utility at MacUpdate.com 

 

I cannot verify or test - no MacOS in our home office.

 

MacUpdate.com > HP Utility free download for Mac HP Utility Version 2.9.0
