Hello,

I have the printer HP Photosmart 5510, I get an update of the Hp software.

Before that it was possible to select the scanning quality from 60 to 2400 dpi and to save the result in different formats (pdf, jpg,..) and to select different others parameters,  now the maximal resolution I can choose is only 300 dpi and also for the formats, the colors and others parameters I have only few choices .

The actual software I have is HP Smart 75.1.198.0.

How can I scan with high resolution i.e. 1200 or 2400 dpi?

Please try this scan solution:
 
HP Scan Extended

For Windows:   ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/scanners/HPScanExt/HPScanExt.msi

Once it's downloaded and installed, go to Start > All Programs > HP > HP Scan Extended > Run "HP Scan Extended"

Make searchable PDFs w/OCR scans with this free scanning software - https://www.naps2.com/
