Hello I'm trying to scan using my acer tablet and chromebook with my hp officejet 2600 tablet for the first time.

Hi,

Thanks for using the HP Support Community.

 

Is that a Deskjet 2600 (not officejet)

 

Scanning on Chromebook requires the printer to be on a network first.

 

1. Connect to the Printer Wifi Direct and then use the Browser to open the Embedded Web Server and attempt to  connect the printer to the network
