I have a problem with the communication between my iMac and hp Officejet pro 8600 - when I either scan to computer from the printer or use easy scan on the computer to scan a photo from he flatbed scanner an error message appears stating the the automatic feeder is empty - can anybody help me with changing the preferences - this situation seems to have appeared since updating to Catalina - I similar problem appeared when I updated to Sierra a couple of years ago - sometimes Apple does infuriate me - thanks in advance

Hi,

For now, please use Image Capture and scan from your computer and periodically check for updates from the HP Easy Scan app, the app is not currently supported on Catalina:
