Hi @DVC4992,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

It seems that you're facing issues with connecting your HP scanner functionality to Google services, possibly due to recent software or driver changes. Here are some steps to help resolve the issue and ensure your scanner is set up correctly:

Troubleshooting Scanner Connection Issues

Check Recent Software or Driver Updates:

  • If you recently updated the software or drivers for your HP device, it's crucial to ensure that the updates did not interfere with the scanner's functionality. You can try rolling back to a previous version of the driver if the issue began after an update.

Verify Scanner Settings:

  • Make sure your scanner is properly configured and set up on your device. Check the HP software or the HP Embedded Web Server to ensure the scanner settings are correct.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Uninstall the current HP software related to the scanner and download the latest version from Official HP® Support. Reinstall the software to refresh the settings and configuration.

Check Network Connectivity:

Ensure that your printer/scanner is connected to the same network as your computer. Check the wireless connection if you're using a wireless setup:

  • Print a Configuration Page: This page contains your device's current IP address and network settings.

  • Reconfigure the Network Setup: If there are mismatches in the network configuration, reconfigure the setup using the latest instructions from the HP support website.

Adjust Security Settings:

  • If you're using Google Cloud Print or a similar Google service to connect, ensure that your printer is registered and listed in your Google account. Also, make sure your firewall or antivirus software isn't blocking the communication.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
