Hi - I recently purchased the OfficeJet 5255 all-in-one. I know the machine offers automated double sided printing. But how do I scan a two-sided document from the doc feeder? There seems to be no option to select this in the HP app.

Hi,
Your printer offers automatic two sided pritning only, it do not offer auto 2-sided scan capabilities.
A such can be done manually through the HP Software but you will have to reload the other side of the entire batch manually, then its other side will be scanned and hthe pages will be arranged by order.
To do so open the printer software and click on Scan, then Scan a Document or Photo.
Click More > in the side pane and look for San Sides, there select 2-sided and press OK.
Click Scan and follow the steps on screen to reload the other side once the pages of the 1st size has been scanned.

Hi,
Thanks for using the HP Forums. Apologies for jumping in here.
Can you download and install the FULL feature printer software from HP for your operating system:
The following resource will help you :
https://support.hp.com/sg-en/drivers
Key in your printer model, Operating System and download & install the FULL feature software.
Once you have downloaded and installed the FULL feature software, you will be able to print and scan.
This resource will show you how to scan 2 sided (manual flip) and the software will auto arrange the pages in the document.
HP Officejet Pro 6960 series : Scan a 6 pages 2 sided document using the ADF
Different printer but the steps are the same.
Hope that helps.

Hi @ShlomiL my printer doesn't support duplex scanning (HP Inkjet 3833). I think it's very much similar to Inkjet 3830. I tried HP Scan & Capture software and set up 2 sided scanning setting, but after finishing all the one sides, the software doesn't tell me anything. Then, I tried to click "Add" to scan all the 2nd sides. However, the 2nd side patch just follows next to the 1st side patchs. Did I miss something during the process ?
