When you use the app "scan to mail" you can't select double side for the scan. There isn't the option.

I understand you're unable to scan double-sided documents using the "Scan to Mail" feature on your HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer, 

 

there are a few troubleshooting steps you can try:

 

  • Check for Software Updates: Make sure that your printer's firmware and the app you're using for scanning are up to date. Sometimes, updates can introduce new features or fix existing issues. Software and Drivers for HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-in-One Printer series
  • Review App Settings: Within the "Scan to Mail" app, check if there are any settings or options related to scanning that you might have overlooked. Sometimes, the option for double-sided scanning might be located in a different menu or submenu.
  • Use a Different Scanning Method: If the "Scan to Mail" app doesn't offer the double-sided scanning option, try using a different scanning method. You can use the printer's built-in scanning functionality accessed through its control panel or use the HP Smart app, which might offer more scanning options.
  • Manual Duplex Scanning: As a last resort, you can manually scan each side of the document separately and then combine the scanned pages into a single document using scanning software on your computer. While this method is more time-consuming, it can be a workaround if the automatic double-sided scanning feature isn't available.
