unable to send emails from printer

I have been unable to send emails from my printer.  I get the message username or password incorrect.  i am using the same code and username for months with no problem. what do i do now.

The underlying cause is likely a failure of the email due to your email provider either having changed their security requirements for login OR they have defaulted back to a tighter security setting due to their policy and dislike of "less secure apps".

What?

The printer cannot handle two-step login requirements.

Create an "Apps Password" or "App Password" (the exact naming scheme might vary by provider).
