Scanning from the doc feeder on my 7740 produces a vertical line from top to bottom. How do I alleviate this?
I have used both hp scan and PDF scanner both have the identical issue. I'm thinking that perhaps a "sign here" static sticker has gotten into the mechanism. If that's the case, how do I remove it?

Hi@SobrietyMatters,
Welcome to the HP Support Community! I'd like to help!
I see you are experiencing scanning issues with the HP OfficeJet Pro 7740 Wide Format All-In-One Printer.
Vertical lines on copies, sent faxes, or scanned documents are typically caused by dirt, ink, corrective fluid, or other debris stuck on the ADF scanner glass. Cleaning the ADF scanner glass properly should resolve this issue.
Can you power off and ensure the scan lid is closed and then power on again?

Do a scan as well as a copy job. If the results are similar (with a vertical line), the scanner may be defective.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
